Box sash windows
Sliding sash work in conservation areas, where the replacement has to read as the original from the pavement. We match the proportions, the horns and the glazing bar widths to what was there. The final decision rests with your conservation officer.

Casement windows
Side-hung and top-hung timber casements, mostly on openings that are wider than they are tall. Often the frame is sound and only the sashes need replacing — where that is the case, we say so.

Tilt and turn
Two positions from one handle: tipped in at the top for a draught of air with the window still secure, or swung wide for cleaning. Common on upper floors and on anything above a road.

Front doors, back doors and internal sets in hardwood and engineered softwood. A front door takes more weather than any window in the house, which is why the detailing around the threshold matters more than the panel.

Interior shutters fitted to the reveal, in full-height, café and tier-on-tier arrangements. Useful where a period window will not take blinds without covering the frame.

Aluminium bifolds that stack back and clear the opening. The trade-off is the stack itself — it sits somewhere, and where it sits is worth deciding before the frame is ordered.

Slim-framed aluminium sliders with large panes and little to interrupt the view. You never open the full width — if clearing the whole wall matters more than the sightlines, bifolds do that better.

Steel-look aluminium with slim black frames and grid glazing bars, sometimes called Crittall-style. Used inside as a room divider and outside where a period building meets a modern extension.
